Why did we make a reusable cup?

Just like you, we want to live with purpose and make a difference where we can. When we learned about the two million disposable cups that get discarded each day in Australia, we wanted to be part of the reuse movement to help the environment and reduce that number, by creating a reusable coffee cup.

Of course, it had to be gorgeous, lovely to drink from, and inspire you... because that’s the Intrinsic way! Oh, and if it inspires your local cafe barista when they're making your fave brew, we're all for spreading joy and happiness!

Intrinsic's double-walled porcelain travel cups contain real gold that undergoes a high-temperature firing process.

As such, we suggest hand washing your cup to keep it sparkling and bright!

Can my Travel Cup go in the dishwasher?

The real gold on Intrinsic mugs and cups is relatively delicate and if it were scrubbed hard enough - or put in the dishwasher over and over - the gold may slowly lighten over time.

So while it can indeed go in the dishwasher... to keep your coffee cup shining bright, we recommend washing it by hand.

Can I pop my Travel Cup in the microwave?

The real gold in this gem means: nope! Keep your cup clear of the microwave as it may spark, and that would bring a whole new meaning to Intrinsic’s products being ‘sparkly’!

So to keep things safe, use your reusable travel mug for pre-heated drinks, pop on the lid, and be on your merry way!
