Adèle has a unique ability to express messages with authenticity and compassion, touching people from all walks of life. Whether offering comfort, hope, resilience, or joy, her words stir deep emotion.
More than just words, Adèle is a natural leader who weaves her magic into the lives of those she meets. From speaking engagements and trade shows to spontaneous chats with strangers, we love seeing how effortlessly she connects with others and helps them uncover their true passions.
Her challenging childhood, combined with a driven personality, fuels the positive life she leads today. For Adèle, it’s all about showing up: “You may not know where to begin, but if you show up, you’re halfway there.”
Our beginnings
Intrinsic is the love child of founders Adèle and Jamie Basheer, who began the South Australian business in 1996 as a team of two. Seeking a more meaningful approach to life and business, the soulmates sat at their kitchen table with $30 of recycled cardboard, a few quotes, and a simple vision: to make a positive difference.
That moment sparked Intrinsic’s first greeting card collection. Today, we’re proud to be one of Australia’s leading creators of inspirational stationery, giftware, homewares, and travel accessories.
Designed in-house in Adelaide, our vibrant collections feature Adèle Basheer’s heartfelt quotes and colourful illustrations—infused with soul, spirit, and a passion for spreading positivity.
